NEW YORK (CNN) -- The founder of an upstate New York TV station aimed at countering Muslim stereotypes has been arrested on suspicion of killing his wife, who was beheaded, authorities said. CNN.com/crime
When the ancient world collapsed, humans were left alone on the earth in the dark ages of the early modern world. In that period of humanity's deepest ignorance, the founders of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, formulated their religious beliefs. They incorporated laws from both the biblical and pagan theocracies into these modern world religions.
There is a vast difference between a theocracy and a religion.
Theocracy: A government ruled by a deity or god.
Religion: A belief system based on the laws imposed on humanity in an ancient world theocracy.
Religious attempts to relive the history of the ancient theocracies are extremely dangerous. They require adherents to view simple human disagreements in terms of good vs. evil, and cause the endless holy wars, jihads and religious terrorism of modern history.
When these anachronistic laws fail to give believers justice, they become frustrated and angry. That anger has moved many husbands to kill their wives and children, over behaviors that their religion requires them to declare to be evil.
It is time to cut the religious umbilical cord that ties humanity to the anachronistic good vs. evil laws of the ancient world theocracies.
Note to Conservatives and Theologians: All communication with God ended with the destruction of the temple and fall of Jerusalem. That historical reality is verified by the collapse of the ancient world. We must face that reality!
