07/22/2004: "The Axis Of Evil Or Ignorance?"

Iran, North Korea and Syria were named as the “axis of evil” by President Bush. Are these countries really evil? Syria and Iran have very religious governments, and North Korea is atheistic.

This is not about evil, it is about ignorance! Academia’s failure to solve the mystery of God and human existence divided the leaders of these countries between the intellectual beliefs of atheism and religion.

We should rename the war on terror “The War On Ignorance,” and acknowledge the fact that we cannot win that war with a military solution. Knowledge is the only cure for ignorance.

It is time to address academia’s failure to solve the mystery of God and human existence.
