06/13/2004: "President Reagan Did Not Win The Cold War!"

At his funeral service, Margaret Thatcher eulogized President Reagan by saying he won the Cold War without firing a shot. There were many shots fired in the “Cold War.” It killed more than one hundred thousand American soldiers in Korea and Vietnam alone. Thirty million people in Europe and forty million in Asia were also killed by the atheists during the “Cold War.”

President Reagan did win the economic war between Capitalism and Communism without firing a shot; he did not win the ideological war between Atheism and Religion. That extremely dangerous conflict still divides us: intellectually, politically and militarily. It will continue to endanger humanity, until we find the courage to solve the mystery of God and human existence.

Ronald Reagan was one of the great presidents of my lifetime. We should honor him by dropping the euphemisms, communism and capitalism, and address the core conflict between atheism and religion.
