Iran's Leader Said to Refuse Delay in Vote
By NAZILA FATHI
President Mohammad Khatami and other reformers had asked for a postponement so that the hard-line Guardian Council might allow more candidates to run. Wednesday, February 4, 2004 NY Times

Here we see how religious leaders (like the atheists) once they have power will not allow for a real change in government, short of violent revolution.

In the 1980s, former President of the United States, Jimmy Carter (a Born Again Man of God) prayed about allowing the Shar of Iran to be toppled by Islamic fundamentalists. President Carter thought God’s answer to his prayer was that he should allow the Ayatollah Khomeini (another man of God) to take control of the country; therefore, he did not support the Shar against the religious rebels. The results of President Carter’s “communication with God” were: religious fanatics took control of Iran, America was labeled a "Great Satan," followed by the hostage crisis, and the Iran / Iraq war in which one million people were killed.

Religious leaders in Iran have turned the country into a nuclear, biological and chemical weapons state. Over the years these "men of God" have trafficked in weapons of mass destruction in one of the most dangerous parts of the world. They also supported terrorist organizations like Al Qaida and the Taliban. These zealots, in turn, took control of Afghanistan, destroyed the World Trade Center killing 1,500 people and wreaked havoc in many parts of the Middle East.

When will we ask the obvious question – is any of this of God? I think we all know the answer.
