244 Die in Saudi Stampede During Muslim Pilgrimage

The pilgrims were crushed to death on Sunday in a stampede during a devil-stoning ritual at the climax of the annual hajj season.

This Islamic Pilgrimage often leads to the death of people in stampedes and fires. I wrote of a similar incident in chapter seven of my book. In that case 350 people were trampled or burned to death and 1,300 were injured, when a tent city housing pilgrims in the Indian quarter caught fire. When will we begin to ask the obvious questions about these extremely dangerous religious rituals?

Is any of this of God? I think we all know the answer.
